The Chapel is committed to helping those less fortunate. We are connected with the Trenton Family Preservation House and Chester House. Both minister to families, helping them to get on surer financial footing.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are particularly good times to provide Thanksgiving meals and Christmas presents to local ministries. But we are working to maintain a year round ministry of caring.  For instance, we provided backpacks for back to school kids at the shelters.

Here is a listing of things that are needed at the shelters as they minister to women and families who have no where to go.

Emergency needs

  • Twin mattresses (at present, 13)
  • Bureaus or dressers
  • Twin bed frames

Ongoing needs

  • Twin sheets
  • Blankets
  • Towels
  • Strollers
  • Clothing of all sizes – children and women

Kitchen ware

  • Plastic plates, bowls and mugs
  • Silverware
  • And once the stove gets put in, large and small pots and pans
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Place settings
  • Drinking glasses
  • Silverware
  • Pots and pans
  • Towels
